2019 - Mu Chapter Awards 2 Book Scholarship Winners!
Kesaiya Evans attended Central High School of Philadelphia and is currently attending West Chester University with a major in Spanish Language & Culture. Kesaiva states, "The Gamma Phi Delta Scholarship will help me be able to focus on my education without financial worry. It will allow me to be able to purchase the necessary textbooks for this semester. The scholarship will also provide me with the security of knowing there is a sisterhood of bright women supporting me."
Amirah Brew-Syders and attended Central High School and will attend Drexel University as an English major on a pre-law track. Amirah states "The Gamma Phi Delta Scholarship will place me a step closer to my goal, which is to become a Civil Rights Attorney. This scholarship will purchase my textbooks for the 2019-2020 academic year, ultimately allowing me to have the necessary resources for a successful school year."

$1,000 Scholarship Winner - Drew Harris
Drew Harris is a graduating student of Camden High School in Camden New Jersey - class of 2017. Drew is a student athlete who will attend Sacred Heart University beginning in the Fall of 2017. As a freshmen, he has established himself as the quarterback of Sacred Heart University's football team and intends to major in Exercise Science. After graduation, Drew's goal is to either play professional football or go to continue his studies to become a physical therapist.

$500 - Zaire Fisher
Zaire Fisher is a graduating student of Boys Latin Philadelphia Charter School, in the class of 2017. Making the adjustment to high school, he went from having a slow start to making extraordinary progress. Such as achieving higher grades, being more proactive in his school community, and involving himself with more programs. The two most notable, North Carolina Outward Bound, and the Penn Medicine High School Pipeline programs, were some of the backbones of his journey as he learned the necessary lessons to be a better student, person, and worker. Zaire will now continue that journey through college at East Stroudsburg University, where he will study Computer Science.
$250 - Yesinel Paulino
Yesinel Paulino is the oldest of 3 siblings and comes from a Hispanic household where Spanish is the only language spoken . She lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she attended Constitution High School and will be attending Community College Of Philadelphia majoring in Early Child Hood. Yesinel is very honored to be one of the Gamma Phi Delta Sorority scholarship winners. Not only will she use this scholarship for college books, she will help others who are interested in applying for scholarships. According for Yesinel, winning scholarships isn't difficult. The challenge becomes choosing what to use the scholarship monies for: paying for school or books.

Alexia Peart, a native of Jamaica, is an honor student at Parkway West High School. Alexia is a strong-willed and hardworking young lady who is actively involved in in high school, community, and church communities. She's been influenced greatly by her grandmother to value of a quality education, knowing that her key to success is tied directly to continuous learning and growth. Alexia will be attending Chestnut Hill College where she will be majoring in Biology. Alexia hopes to become a cardiologist where I can bring a positive change in the lives of others.
Ismail Rivera-Sabir, an honor student at Girard College High School has participated in CCP Dual enrollment program and will have earned 10 college credits before graduating high school. He is a member in the school's National Honor Society, and is the current student body Treasurer. He has also participated in the World Affairs Council, Student Activities Committee, Yearbook club, Alpha Boule' Mentoring program, and is an active member of his community. After graduation, Ismail plans to pursue a career in Financial Management and obtain a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University.

Aliya Williams is a graduating Senior from Constitution High School. Outside of academics, Aliya participated was a cheerleader, and a member of the Mock Trial and the Volleyball teams. She's also a member of the Universal Missionary Baptist Church and sings on the choir. Aliya will be attending Shippensburg University in the Fall of 201.6
Tyler Gamble is a graduating senior from Boys Latin Charter School of Philadelphia. He actively participated on the Wrestling, Golf, and Baseball Team. In his free time, he enjoys studying history, culture and lore, watch anime, and read. Tyler will be attending Elizabethtown College starting in the Fall of 2016 and plans to major in anthropology. One day he intends to travel the world and work with different cultures.
2015 Mu Chapter Awards 2 Scholarship Winners Announced!
Yanisha Bresil, ranked number 1 in her class is an honors student at Samuel Fels High School. She's been inducted into the National Honors Society and is very active in her school and church community. Yanisha has been accepted to and will attend Penn State University in the Fall of 2015.
Justina McMinn is an honors student at Roxborough High School and is very active in her community. Justina is a member of the National Honors Society and is very talented in the arts, gaining awards and honors for Best Script Writing and Best Experimental Film at the Greenfield Youth Film Festival. A highlight for Justina is winning the Rising Start EDDY Award. Read more about her achievement here. Justina will attend the University of Pennsylvania in the Fall of 2015.
2014 Mu Chapter Scholarship Winner: Tarayah B. Ruffin (Sayre H.S.)
Our chapter awarded one $1000 scholarship to Tarayah B. Ruffin of William L. Sayre High School. Ms. Ruffin had a 3.50 GPA and ranked #10 out of a class of 180 seniors. She has been accepted to Neumann University for the fall semester of 2014.
2013 Mu Chapter Scholarship Winner: Sadiyah Malcolm (West Catholic H.S.)
The Mu Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce the 2013 winner of our annual scholarship, Sadiyah Malcolm. Sadiyah is a honors student at West Catholic High School with an exemplary academic, attendance and extra-curricular record. Sadiyah founded a youth-group called S.E.L.A.H, which focuses on developing self-esteem within youth. Sadiyah is also the recipient of the Gates Millennium Scholarship.
